Whitening Trays

If you're tired of seeing darkened or yellowish teeth when you smile in the mirror or snap a quick selfie, the whitening trays available at Sevier Dental are a powerful and highly effective solution. You'll have impressions made at the Sevier Dental office, a process that takes just a few minutes. Next, your custom vinyl trays are fabricated in our lab. Having custom-made trays is so important because it allows for precise and even whitening of all your teeth. When your whitening trays are ready, your dentist will make sure they fit properly, and then send you home with a supply of whitening gel and your trays.

You'll fill the trays with gel every day (or night) and wear them on the recommended schedule. Most patients need three hours of daily wear, while others who need major whitening may wear them overnight.  You'll notice significant whitening at the end of your treatment. You can maintain those results by purchasing more whitening gel at our office and using your custom trays which are reusable. We also offer additional whitening options. Ask us about them to learn more!

Veneers

Veneers are a very popular cosmetic dentistry service because they can completely revamp a tooth or even an entire smile. They're super-thin porcelain or pressed ceramic panels that cover the front part of your tooth. Veneers are a great way to conceal a variety of teeth problems, including cracks, chips, severe darkening, and even gaps between the teeth.

You'll typically have a few appointments when you get veneers. Your dentist will take impressions of your teeth, prepare your teeth for veneers by removing a tiny amount of enamel, and then place temporary veneers for protection. Once your custom veneers have been created -- usually no more than a couple of weeks -- you'll return to Sevier Dental to get your permanent veneers fixed to your teeth. Once your dentist fixes the veneers in place with dental cement, they'll stay there for years. Veneers often last a decade, and perhaps more if you take good care of them.

Botox

Doctors have been using Botox for years to successfully treat wrinkles and facial creases. Botox is a brand name of a toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. There are also other brand names, such as Dysport and Xeomin.
Botox blocks signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscle can't contract. That makes the wrinkles relax and soften.

Botox is most often used on forehead lines, crow's feet (lines around the eye), and frown lines. Wrinkles caused by sun damage and gravity will not respond to Botox. It can also be used for lip lines and for the chin and corner of the mouth and neck.

Minor Tooth Movement

If you need minor tooth movement to get the smile you deserve, you don't necessarily have to resort to braces. Sevier Dental offers clear retainers for minor teeth movement. After your dentist takes impressions of both your top and bottom arches, we can create your customized retainer in our in-house lab.

You'll visit Sevier Dental once a week for quick check-ups until your teeth have shifted into the desired position. Once your teeth are in position, you'll get a permanent retainer to help you maintain your results for the long term. The retainer can be the ideal solution if you want to straighten mildly misaligned teeth without anyone even knowing about it.

Teeth Bonding

Teeth bonding is a potential alternative to veneers. It's a way to conceal many kinds of damage, including cracks, chips, and discoloration. With bonding, your dentist uses a composite resin material on the outward-facing part of your tooth, and they then shape it to the tooth for a natural look. An ultraviolet light is then used to set the bonding into place and help it harden.

Just as with veneers, your Sevier Dental dentist will take care to match the shade of your teeth so that it looks natural. While teeth bonding is faster than veneers (it requires just one appointment) it doesn't last quite as long as veneers. Bonding is usually the most cost-effective option if you're looking for a relatively fast and easy teeth enhancement.
