Dental Exam

When you come in for a dental exam, you're doing something great for your whole body health. Your regular exams give your dentist a chance to evaluate your teeth, check for new developments, take X-rays to track changes and make treatment recommendations as needed. If you've got issues like cavities or other problems, your dentist can find it -- and promptly treat it before the problem gets bigger -- thanks to your regularly scheduled dental exams.

Asset 1

Extractions

Extractions are sometimes needed if a tooth is highly damaged, but they're more commonly needed when your wisdom teeth erupt. At Sevier Dental, your comfort is always the top priority during extractions. We use the most advanced technology and extraction techniques to help you have a comfortable extraction and fast healing.

Sealants

Sealants are ultra thin brush-on coatings that protect against tooth decay. Sealants are most often used for kids who haven't established great brushing habits yet. One of the best things about sealants is that they wear off naturally over time.

Asset 2

Implants

Dental implants are a permanent solution to tooth loss. Every implant is custom-made as an exact replica of the natural tooth it's replacing, giving you the most natural possible look. Because dental implants are secured in your jaw, you'll never have to worry about instability. A dental implant is just as strong (or stronger) than the tooth it replaces.

Asset 3

Root Canal Treatment

If your tooth has serious decay, you may need a root canal to save it. During a root canal, your dentist drills a small hole so they can extract the damaged pulp within your tooth. Additionally, the canals of the tooth are disinfected to eliminate all traces of bacteria. Once the canals are filled with a sterile material, your dentist can do a core build-up if needed. In most cases, you'll need a crown after root canal therapy, as it protects your tooth from further damage.

Botox

Our doctors are excited to be able to offer an alternative treatment for our patients with TMJ. Therapeutic Botox treatment may help ease symptoms experienced due to TMJ. Talk to our doctors today about which option may be best for you.

Teeth Cleaning

Teeth cleanings at least twice a year are a major part of your oral health. No matter how well you might brush and floss, you still need professional cleaning to keep your teeth and gums in optimal shape. Teeth cleaning includes plaque and tartar removal, plus polishing of your newly clean teeth. It's amazing how much fresher your mouth feels after a dental cleaning!

X-Rays

X-rays allow your dentist to see the structures of your mouth in detail. This allows for the most accurate diagnosis and the best possible treatment plans. Sevier Dental is proud to use digital radiography X-rays that use 50-70% less radiation than conventional X-rays.

Asset 4

Bridges

Bridges are prosthetic teeth that fill in the gaps where you're missing teeth. Because your natural teeth provide support for the prosthetic ones, you'll have a natural looking tooth replacement that also fits right into place.

Dental Crowns

Crowns are full coverage restorations, made just for you. A crown may be needed if you've got a very fragile tooth, if a large filling has worn out, or if you've just had a root canal. Crowns are comfortable to wear -- in fact, they're permanently attached to your natural tooth so they feel just like your natural tooth, just stronger and better.

Asset 12

TMJ Treatment

When you suffer from a TMJ disorder, you may have near-constant jaw pain, soreness, headaches, jaw clicking, and other problems. Fortunately, you don't have to resort to surgery to solve the problem. Your dentist can prescribe a customized mouthpiece that helps reposition your jaw to alleviate symptoms very effectively. Botox is also an alternative treatment for muscle-related joint pain associated with TMJ.

FOSA

A Face Occlusal Stabilizing Appliance (FOSA) is a hard acrylic appliance that fits on your top teeth and is worn at night in the initial treatment phase. Your FOSA is fitted to allow your jaw joints to move to a comfortable seated position that may ease the symptoms that you are experiencing. Don't spend another day in pain. Call Sevier Dental for an appointment today.

Asset 6

Dental Fillings

When you've got a cavity, your dentist removes the decay and replaces it with a filling. We place tooth-colored fillings. These are the most popular option for two reasons: they blend in with your tooth perfectly and they also help strengthen your tooth.

Dentures

Dentures are one of the ways to replace missing teeth. Today's dentures are comfortable, natural looking, and easy to wear. If you're worried about stability, you might consider implant-supported dentures. This type of denture attaches to permanent dental implants, giving you excellent stability without worry.

Non-Surgical Gum Treatment

When your gums are unhealthy, it means a poor foundation for your teeth -- and this could lead to bad breath, loose teeth, or even tooth loss if you don't take steps to correct it now. At Sevier Dental, non-surgical gum treatment is customized for you. It usually includes a deep cleaning or root planing, along with the tools to deter infection and put you on the path back to great oral health.

Asset 10

Partial Denture

Partial dentures clip into place, attaching to your natural teeth for support. Since partial dentures are removable, they're less stable and they're generally less popular than bridges. We offer several varieties of materials to use for this. At your appointment, the doctors will help you decide which is the correct one for you.

Asset 11

Tooth Replacement

With all of the options out there like implants, dentures, partial dentures, bridges, and more for tooth replacement, it can seem like an overwhelming decision to make. Our doctors here at Sevier Dental will go over all of your tooth replacement options and help you make the best choice for your needs.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Known to be the mildest form of sedation, nitrous oxide is also referred to as laughing gas and is safe to use. Nitrous oxide is administered through a nasal mask that fits over the nose. You’ll be instructed to inhale the mixture until you begin to feel fully relaxed and at ease. One of the great benefits of nitrous oxide is that the effects come on quickly and dissipate just as fast, making it a popular option among patients who experience mild dental anxiety.
